Is the accommodation included in the price?
Accommodation is payable to the provider upon check-in. Please note that many Bed and Breakfasts do not have card machines and do require guests to pay in cash. Accommodation rates do vary between providers and seasons. For this reason we are only able to give you an estimated rate until a booking has been made.
Estimated rates are as follows:

B&B (Shared): £70.00 – £110.00 per person per night
B&B (Single occupancy): £100.00 – £150.00 per night
Hotel: From (Shared) £95.00+ per person per night
Hotel: From (Single occupancy): £150.00+ per night
All hotels require credit card information in order to secure a booking. If you wish us to reserve a hotel room for you, we will contact you for your budget and credit card details. Please note a single room supplement may apply.
Will I be charged extra for a single room?
What is the difference between a Hostel, B&B and Hotel?
B&B's are privately owned Guesthouses. Guests are given breakfast (continental or full, depending on the B&B) but cannot prepare their own food.
Hotels are the most expensive choice of accommodation. Rooms come with a full breakfast (unless stated) and guests are unable to prepare their own food.
What is the difference between ensuite, standard, twin and double rooms?
Can I book my own accommmodation?
Please ensure that your accommodation is centrally located in Inverness. If accommodation is booked outside these central areas, your Driver-Guide may be unable to provide drop-off and pick-up.
How much luggage can I bring?
If you have more luggage than this, you can store your surplus bags with Unbaggaged. Unbaggaged will collect your bags at a time and place convenient to you! They then store them at a secure central location, and return them to you, again, wherever and whenever you like! We've negotiated 10% off all bookings for our passengers with code TIMBER10.

Highlights
More information
Take our 2-day Loch Ness, Inverness and the Highlands tour from Edinburgh, travel in comfort and savour the delights of the Highlands with your guide: see rivers, lochs and mountains, and experience plenty of rich Highland history - with an overnight stay in the Highland capital of Inverness.
Day One
Experience the Beauty of the Scottish Highlands
From Edinburgh we head west to pick up our Glasgow passengers*, first stopping at the pretty conservation village of Luss, on the ‘Bonny Bonny Banks’ of Loch Lomond. We descend into the dramatic expanse of Rannoch Moor, passing the Black Mount, to dramatic Glencoe, site of the 1692 massacre of the MacDonald Clan. Here we pause for a leisurely walk to soak in the atmosphere of this haunting glen, before continuing north towards Fort William and Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis.
After lunch in the Fort William area, your two day Inverness tour from Edinburgh traces the 24 mile shoreline of Loch Ness, passing Urquhart Castle, then on to Inverness, capital of the Highlands, where we arrive early evening.
Day Two
Discover fascinating Scottish History
Enjoy a flexible itinerary today - you may choose to visit the fascinating Culloden Battlefield (optional extra), where Bonnie Prince Charlie and the Jacobites were defeated by the Duke of Cumberland, and glimpse the ancient stones of the Neolithic Clava Cairns.
After a lunch stop we move south for a visit to the old military garrison of Ruthven Barracks, built by General Wade. Then, there is the opportunity for a visit to Dalwhinnie Distillery, please note however that this is based on availability and may not always be possible. We continue our return journey via The Hermitage, stopping for a gentle forest walk in idyllic Scottish woodland (this option will only be possible in the summer months), before we cross the Forth Bridges, back to Edinburgh.
